GEMA, the German music rights organisation, will have SoundAware handle the monitoring of music in German clubs for the next five years. To achieve this, a partnership has been formed with the company SoundNodes. At the end of 2024, SoundAware and SoundNodes will begin installing new monitoring equipment. The system will be fully operational by January 1, 2025.
The equipment utilizes advanced Music Recognition Technology, which can accurately identify the music being played in clubs. A new feature of this system is that it will monitor music during all club opening hours to provide the most complete picture of music usage.
SoundAware will manage the monitoring of 80 clubs across Germany, carefully selected to ensure the widest possible geographical coverage. In this project, SoundAware and SoundNodes will leverage their combined expertise in audio monitoring. The two companies will continue to collaborate and promote products that seamlessly integrate with their audio technology solutions.
